Financial Benefits

For Undergraduate and Masters

The covered value varies for German and non-German students, with the maximum award being Euro 649 per month, along with 300 Euros for book costs.
European Union Students who have not studied in German institutions can receive a maximum covered value of Euro 649 per month, plus 300 Euros for book costs.
Non-EU students not educated in German institutions are eligible for Euro 850 per month, along with additional allowances.

For PhD Degrees

Students previously educated in German institutions, regardless of citizenship, receive monthly stipends of €1350, along with €100 for research allowance.
European Union Students not educated in Germany receive Euro 1350 per month and Euro 100 per month as a research allowance.
Non-EU students not educated in German institutions are granted Euro 1200 per month, along with Euro 100 as a research allowance.

Eligibility Requirements

For Undergraduate and Masters

German/non-German students educated in German institutions before can apply for their first degree (Bachelor’s).
EU students who haven’t studied in German institutions can apply for a Master’s degree, holding a Bachelor’s degree and German language proficiency (minimum level B2 or DSH2).
Non-EU students not educated in German institutions can apply for a Master’s degree, with the requirement of a Bachelor’s degree and German language proficiency (Minimum level B2 or DSH2).

For PhD Degrees

All applicants must provide an acceptance letter for a PhD program at a German or state-recognized university.
Non-German citizens must demonstrate German language proficiency.
