For International Students

BI Presidential Scholarship in Norway for 2024 includes full tuition fees and a stipend for each semester, for up to two years, granted students meet academic progress criteria. The stipend aids in living expenses but doesn’t cover all costs (up to 70%).

Eligibility Requirements

To apply for the BI Presidential Scholarships, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Maintain full study progress each semester (30 ECTS).
  • Achieve a minimum GPA of “B” on the BI ECTS scale at the end of each semester.
  • Scholarship recipients are expected to act as “BI Ambassadors,” participating in recruitment efforts and promoting a positive study environment. Detailed responsibilities will be outlined in the Scholarship Contract.
  • Candidates with an overall GPA of A on the ECTS scale or equivalent top-level grades on international grading scales are eligible.
  • Eligible candidates must be admitted to a Master of Science program or enrolled in/have completed the 3rd year of the BI Presidential Scholarships program.
  • The BI Presidential Scholarship is open to both international and Norwegian applicants.
  • All Masters of Science programs are eligible for the scholarship, except the BI-Luiss Joint Master’s in Marketing.

Application Procedure for

Interested candidates can apply online for the BI Presidential Scholarship by following these steps:

  • Write a scholarship application letter (maximum one page) outlining the reasons for deserving the scholarship and academic achievements that qualify for consideration.
  • Upload the scholarship application letter and all required documents to the online application portal.
  • For students currently in the 3rd year of BI’s Siviløkonom program, apply for the third year by sending a scholarship application letter to info@bi.no with the subject “BI Presidential Scholarship Application.”
  • Candidates may apply for multiple scholarships, but each student will receive only one scholarship from BI Norwegian Business School.
  • Scholarships are not transferrable.
  • Candidates who have already completed their Master’s degrees won’t be given priority for BI Presidential Scholarships.
  • Only candidates admitted to a Master of Science program commencing in Autumn 2023 will be considered for the BI Presidential Scholarship for 2024.
